Description: Delhi Public School, Ranchi, witnessed the grand culmination of its two-day Humanities Fest, ‘THE AROHAN’, on 2nd August 2025, after two vibrant days of critical thinking, artistic expression, and spirited dialogue. Held on the 1st and 2nd of August, the fest brought together over 350 participants from 20 prestigious schools across the Ranchi city, establishing a stimulating forum for young minds to explore the ever-evolving fabric of humanities.
The Closing Ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Vimal Kishor, Professor and Head, Department of Education, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi who was warmly welcomed and felicitated with a sapling and memento — a thoughtful gesture reflecting the school’s ethos of sustainability and reverence. The ceremony began on a melodious note with an instrumental performance by the talented students of DPS Ranchi that celebrated both intellect and artistry.
Winners across all events were felicitated with trophies and certificates, acknowledging their excellence and dedication.
Addressing the audience at the valedictory function, Chief Guest Mr. Prof. Vimal Kishor remarked, “It is truly heartening to see the kind of engagement and enthusiasm displayed by the youth at ‘The Arohan’. This event stands as a powerful testimony to the potential of humanities education in shaping informed, empathetic and articulate citizens. In an era where the boundaries between disciplines are blurring, platforms like this bridge academic knowledge with real-world awareness. What impressed me most is the students’ command over global issues and their capacity for respectful dialogue — skills much needed in today’s fractured world. I commend DPS Ranchi for curating such a purposeful platform and for igniting the spirit of inquiry and innovation among the students.”
In her message, Principal Dr. Jaya Chauhan expressed deep pride and appreciation, stating, “The Arohan is not just an event — it is a manifestation of our vision at DPS Ranchi to make education holistic, experiential and empowering. The fest celebrates the Humanities — disciplines that teach us to understand society, challenge ideas and celebrate diversity. What fills my heart with pride is the fact that the entire fest — be it the design, logistics, media coverage, hospitality or content curation — was led and managed by our students. They took charge, made decisions and delivered with passion and professionalism. These young minds demonstrated not only academic brilliance but also leadership, teamwork and emotional intelligence. I am confident that experiences like these will prepare them to excel in whichever path they choose, with courage, empathy and purpose.”
