Tripali of DPS secures 1st position in the State in WSO

Children of Delhi Public School Ranchi have once again proved their mettle with their brilliant performance in World Social Science Olympiad. Tripali Tah of class VIII secured the first position in the state and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5000/- and a gold medal. Children of class IV to X took this exam and thirteen children from the cradle have come out with flying colours with Vishakha Sinha, Shantanu Kumar Sonal, Kumar Divyang and Sameer Rastogi securing the second position in the state. This exam is conducted by World Olympiad Foundation. They have been awarded cash prize, silver and gold medal. Shambhavi Prabha, Abhishek Kumar Singh, Aknav Jha, Kanishk Sakarwar, Arnad Sinha, Ananya Mishra, Ishita Raj, Pratyush Anand, Dhriti Barnwal and Tanmay have also shown their excellence.

Dr. Ram Singh Principal DPS Ranchi congratulated the students for their excellent results and encouraged them to be a part of such types of exams in future. He strongly feels that these exams are extremely beneficial for children to shape their career in future.



Brilliant Performance of DPS Ranchi in IMO, NSO & NCO

Science Olympiad Foundation is the largest organizer of Olympiad exams in the world and over 27000 schools from 16 countries appear in this exam. 300 children from Delhi Public School Ranchi have performed exceptionally well in IMO, NSO & NCO (International Mathematics Olympiad, National Science Olympiad, National Cyber Olympiad).

Rohit Raj of Class IV secured the third position in the state and 3rd rank at the International level. Abdullah Rahmani of class IV secured the 4th position in the state and at the International level as well.

Riti Raj of Class V of Delhi Public School, Ranchi as mentioned had received the third prize at the National level in a painting competition organized by Ministry of Power in New Delhi in which approx 1.5 crore Students participated and was awarded by Shri Piyush Goyal Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy , Govt. of India . Brilliant Performance of DPS Ranchi in R.M.O.

Four students of Delhi Public School, Ranchi exhibited their brilliant mathematical acumen and made the school proud by bagging the 6th, 7th and 12th position in the state. Regional Mathematics Olympiad was held on 06/12/2015 under the aegis of National Board of Higher Mathematics Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India, in which Anirudh Anik Ojha secured the 6th position, Rayyan Shahid – 7th position, Urvashi Dhar and Aakarsh Kumar Singh – 12th position.

Eight students of DPS Ranchi qualify in KVPY

It was indeed a moment of immense jubilation as 8 students of Delhi Public School Ranchi qualified in KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) - they are Ayush Kumar, Anirudh Anil Ojha, Nishant Singh Chauhan, Shubham Saha, Animesh Singh Chauhan, Urvashi Dhar, Tiyasha Mitra and Snehan.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, DPS Ranchi congratulated the students and said that last year it was 4 students qualified and this year we have 8 students. Riti Raj of DPS Ranchi Awarded at the National Level
Riti Raj of Class V of Delhi Public School, Ranchi received the second prize at the National level in a painting competition organized by Ministry of Power. He has secured the 1st position at the state level by displaying his skill with paint brushes to paint a picture on energy given to Riti.

A mesmerizing performance of Chhau Dance, which is the very testimony of the rich culture and heritage of our state was exhibited by them. In yet another event Somiparna Samanta, Siddharth Samanta, Shreyanshi, Pratyacha, Rishabh Raj, Karan Priyadarshi, Surye Narayan and Amit kumar were awarded the 3rd prize in Kalakriti – art installation celebrating oneness of self and environment. The team which had gone to DPS Mathura Road at the Inter DPS environment festival stood 3rd among 28 teams. Students who took part in this event were Nikita, Nandini, Pankhudi, Aditi, Shubhangi Kumar and Megha Agrawal.

DPS Ranchi bags the best prize for costume in Dance Festival

Creativity in any form is a joy beyond measure and this source of elation overflows from the lively minds in our microcosm. Delhi Public School Ranchi bagged the prize for the Best Costume in the Nationals of Inter DPS Dance Festival which was held at DPS Noida.

Twenty teams were selected from all over India after the Zonal round and the dance festival was based on the theme – Indian Mythology. The dance form presented by the children of DPS Ranchi was ‘Tandav’ through Kathak based on the story of ‘Ganesh Utpatti’. The children who took part in this competition were Vidushi Jayant, Raaj Laxmi Singh Rathore, Sakshi Vinay Maharaj, Kaushiki Singh, Vedika Verma, Pankhuri Jha, Neha, Prarthna Choubey and Isha Deep. The costumes were highly appreciated by the distinguished judges and they felt that a lot of creativity and innovation had gone into it. Prarthna Choubey one of the team members was of the opinion that it was a tough competition but it was costumes along with our expression that added to the fervor of the dance. Sakshi Vinay another team member said that it was a magical experience and a dream come true for them as it was after many years that DPS Ranchi qualified and took part in the National level.

He also said that participation in such events will be contributing towards the overall development of children. Delhi Public school Ranchi students again proved themselves :and are out with flying colours . SRIJAN SINHA proved himself again and made the school proud by qualifying the AIPMT 2015 in which he secured AIR 238 and UR 206. NIKITA SURABHI got AIR 661 and AYUSH BHADANI got AIR 3061 and OBC rank 781 They have also qualified AllMS, Jharkhand Medical , and ML and has dragged good positions in the same.

They are truly the inspirations for our students. Reza Khalid of DPS Ranchi Chooses NDA Over IIT

All India Rank of Reza Khalid of Delhi Public School, Ranchi is 163 in NDA (National Defense Academy) . 4 Lakh students had taken this exam this year out of which 30000 were selected in the second round – SSB (Service Selection Board) out of these approximately 600 candidates were selected for undergoing medical screening. Reza has cracked JEE Advance as well and his rank is 4779 (OBC) but he has opted for NDA as he personally feels that every year thousands of Doctors and Engineers graduate but very few take up NDA.

The achievement of Reza is really praiseworthy as he could show his inherent talent to do something different from the masses . The head of the institution Dr. Ram Singh congratulated him on his success and motivated the other youngster to come forward to serve the nation.

In a series of debate competitions organized by different agencies at different venues students of DPS Ranchi won many hearts and eventually prizes with their eloquent speeches.

DPS Bokaro organized a National Inter-school Knowledge Convergence Meet "Shabd" on 27 May 2015 which was a multi-format Invitational English Debate.19 schools took part in this competition and the candidates impressed the audience with their gift of gab. It is worth mentioning here that Akash Kumar of DPS Ranchi won the title of "Best Speaker Extempore" during this Meet and made his school proud. He received this prestigious prize from the HRD Minister of state, Dr Neira Yadav.

On1st May 2015, National Law University, Ranchi organized a school debate in its premises in which 18 schools of the city participated. DPS Ranchi got the best team Runners up award in this contest. The topic of debate was "Banning should be banned". The candidates were judged on their matter, logic, examples, arguments, questions and presentation on the spot. Kumar Prakarsh and Vivek Gupta received the cash prize of Rs 5000 each. The icing on the cake was that Vivek Gupta got the title of Best Interjecter and received Rs 2000 extra for this.

On 2nd May, the Telegraph and DAV Bariatu organized Crossfire - a state-level inter-school debate which was hosted by Parnab Mukherjee, a quizzer and debater of international repute. DPS Ranchi students came out with flying colours in this competition where about 22 schools from all over the state participated. This debate was based on Cambridge pattern which consisted of preliminary , semifinal and final round. There were classical debates, turncoat, extempore and very interesting block and tackle in each round. The team consisting of Tanvi Maheshwari, Akash Kumar, Kumar Prakarsh and Vivek Gupta got the first position and was awarded the Best Team title. They lifted a shining trophy for their exemplary and commendable performance at each stage

Soumya Kriti of DPS Ranchi awarded Tablet in Collage Making Competition

Soumya Kriti of DPS Ranchi is the proud recipient of a tablet as the first prize in ‘My TT Contest’.

The prime objective of this competition was to give exposure to the children on various current issues. This has also helped the children to bring out their creativity as DPS in an institute which aims in providing a platform in reaching the pinnacle of success by all round personality development.

Ruchi Kumari, Pankhudi Jha and Riya Singh got the consolation prize in the senior group. Rishabh Gupta and Snehal receive the consolation prize in the junior group.

Children of Delhi Public School Ranchi came out with flying colours in the 1st level of the 5th SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) International English Olympiad. The IEO was held in the month of January 2015 in which thousands of schools across the globe from classes VI to XII took part.

Shubham Saha of DPS Ranchi Sole Achiever from Jharkahnd in INMO

Shubham Saha of Delhi Public School Ranchi has been selected as one of the awardees for INMO (Indian National Mathematics Olympiad) – 2015. Its a matter of immense pride because he is the only one who has been selected from the state of Jharkhand. RMO (Regional Mathematical Olympiad) was held on 07-12-2014 in which 5 students from DPS Ranchi performed brilliantly and they were invited to participate in INMO.

In the first round Shubham Saha of class X secured 1st Position in the state of Jharkhand, in the second round he is the only one from the state who has been selected. He will be going for a month long training camp in April at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mumbai. Dr. Ram Singh Principal DPS Ranchi congratulated him for his extraordinary performance in INMO and blessed him for all his future endeavours. He also said that such students are the true jewels of our school and in the years to come they are the ones who will make the nation proud. Sri Manohar Lal Joint Regional Coordinator of Olympiad for Jharkhand also appreciated Shubham’s performance and wished him the very best in life.

DPS Children Excel in Green Olympiad

Green Olympiad Examination 2014 was organized by THE ENERTY AND RESOURCE INSTITUTE in which the children of Delhi Public School come up with brilliant results. 64 students from classes VIII to X took this examination and 25 of them have received the merit and distinction certificate. Tiyasha Mitra of Class X and Shaurya Jaggi of Class X have been awarded distinction certificate and 23 other have got the merit certificate.

This is an endeavour to create awareness about environment and sustainable development. Ministry of environment, Forest and Climatic change Govt. of India has taken up this initiative to inculcate respect for the environment.

Dr. Ram Singh Principal DPS Ranchi congratulated the children and discussed with them the importance of such exams. He also said that we owe a lot to our environment hence it is our moral duty to take adequate care of the environment.

Young Achiever

Rajan Dalal , a student of DPS Ranchi class XII 2013-2014 batch has brought laurels to the school as he has been selected to pursue his higher studies in the University of Purdue, USA. Earlier also on several occasions, he has made the school proud by his excellent performances in various competitions. He qualified the prestigious Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) for the session 2012-2013. He participated in National Commerce Olympiad 2012 and secured All India Rank 1 in three subjects English , Mathematics and Aptitude. For this achievement he received prize of Rs.21,000 and a gold medal.

Rajan Dalal also received a Gold Medal and a cheque of Rs.5,000 for his exceptional performance in 3rd IEO in 2012-2013 , where he achieved rank 1 in Jharkhand. He has won many accolades due to his hard work and sincerity. In July 2013, he appeared in Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST) and got 4th position in the All India Ranking of NEST- Junior category. He also won a cash award of Rs.20,000 for his achievement. Rajan participated in Young Genius Physics Tournament 2013 and was awarded a gold medal for his performance.

NSTSE (National Level Science Talent Search Examination ) has presented a Certificate Of Appreciation to Rajan Dalal for his excellent performance in feb. 2014 exam where he got 2nd rank in Jharkhand. He also participated in different Olympiads in 2014 and has proved his mettle by securing the good position especially in National Cyber Olympiad where his International rank is 7 and State rank is 1.

DPS Children Excel in Maths and Science Olympiad

Sanjeev Mallick of Delhi Public School made the school proud by securing the 3rd position in the International Maths Olympiad. His International Rank is 3rd and State Rank is 1st. He has been awarded with a cash prize of Rs 11,000/- and a Merit Certificate by the Science Olympiad Foundation. Mayank Kumar is the State topper in the National Science Olympiad and has received a cash prize of Rs 6000/-. There are around 150 students of the school who had performed well in both Maths and Science Olympiad. Tiyasha Mitra (International Rank – 35, State Rank– 2), Priyanshu Kumar (International Rank – 194, State Rank– 4), Aditya Kumar (International Rank – 61, State Rank– 6), Kanishk Sakarwar (International Rank – 113, State Rank– 6) are some of them.

The Annual Inter DPS Science Exhibition held at Delhi Public School Mathura road, New Delhi

The Annual Inter DPS Science Exhibition was held at Delhi Public School Mathura road, New Delhi on the 7th day of December 2013. The topics for the exhibition were Aquaponics and Terrarium and the chief guest was Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia.

DPS Ranchi Athletes Prove their Mettle

Inter- DPS Athletics Championship for Girls held at DPS Allahabad from 10 to 12 Nov 2013 found several winners from DPS Ranchi. Ritika of class VII brought laurels to school by winning Gold medal in both 1500 mtr and 3000 mtr race and was declared the Individual Champion of the tournament. Smriti won a Silver medal in 400mtr and Manisha bagged a Bronze in Long Jump. Ritika, Smriti, Manisha and Kajori won silver medal in 4x400 mtr Relay.

    was held at Ranchi and the girls of DPS Ranchi made the school proud. P. Raksha of class XI won Gold Medal in U-19 Singles match in this tournament. The school team, which comprised of P. Raksha, Sangamitra Dutta (Class V) and Vertika Jaiswal (Class V), emerged as Runner-up in the Team event by bagging Silver Medal.

Two students of Class XI, Samyak (qualified RMO 2012) and Pratyush Anand (qualified INMO 2013) were selected to participate in INMO Enrichment Camp 2013-14. This camp was organized in DPS Navi Mumbai from 30th Sept to 4th Oct 2013. Participation in this camp was highly beneficial for the students.

DPS students at RBI Quiz

Reserve Bank of India conducted RBIQ 2013 as a way of educating students about the world of finance. Srijan Sinha and Rishabh Raj Deo of Class XI participated in this Quiz at the city level and emerged as winners. Further after winning the state and zonal rounds held at Kolkata, they got the chance to participate in the National Finals held at Mumbai on 2 Oct 2013. 4000 schools from over 40 cities participated in this quiz, among which DPS Ranchi got a position in the top 8 teams taking part in this quiz.


DPS Ranchi students have once again proved their mettle as 7 students of the institution have been successful in Regional Mathematical Olympiad-2012 of Jharkhand region which was held on Dec 2, 2012. It is a Big Achievement for the school as out of 25 candidates who have been selected from the state, 7 are from DPS Ranchi.

Achievements in the field of Quiz

Mayank Raj and Srijan Sinha of class X made DPS Ranchi immensely proud when they emerged as runner-up team in a Quiz show conducted by CNBC TV-18.It was a national financial TV Quiz show named “Funancial Quest”. It was first conducted at the city level in 15 cities with more than 100 schools all over India. In Ranchi city round DPS Ranchi stood first and qualified for the national round.All selected 15 teams from different cities of India took part in semifinals held in National Stock Exchange, Mumbai on 18 Dec,2012 and 6 of them qualified for the national final.

In an exciting finale of Funancial Quest 2, Mayank and Srijan bagged second position with their sound knowledge. They were awarded scholarship upto Rs.25000, gift vouchers worth Rs.2500, winning trophy, medal & certificates each.

Bipul Mayank, Amrit Srivastava and Rishabh Raj Deo of DPS Ranchi brought laurels to the school by securing a respectable 6th position in CBSE Heritage Quiz (national level), which was held at Delhi from 6-8 Dec 2012. Earlier these students had held first place in the preliminary round in Patna region. Total 16 teams from CBSE schools all over India participated in the semi-finals and finals and the team from DPS Ranchi stood 6th in this Quiz Competition.

Achievements in the field of Science

Srijan Sharma of class VIII, Delhi Public School, Ranchi has secured first position in district level science exhibition organised by the Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India and Human Resource Development Dept., Govt. of Jharkhand. This competition was held on 18 March 2012 under the Inspire Award Scheme of the above mentioned departments.

and Abhishek Kumar of class X brought laurels to the school as their exhibit got selected in the best six models in the CBSE National Level Science Exhibition held at New Delhi. Their project was adjudged the best among those of 178 schools.

New Session Begins with Recognition for Achievers

91 students of DPS Ranchi were felicitated for their academic excellence in a Prize Distribution Ceremony held on 12 April 2012. Shri S. U. Sorte, Joint Secretary and Regional Officer, CBSE graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He gave away the prizes and certificates of merit to the students for having brought laurels to the school with their outstanding achievements. Two students, Pratyush Kumar and Mangesh were given cash prizes for securing high scores in Aryabhatta Maths Competition. Shri J. Mohanty, Principal, DPS Ranchi expressed his elation at the accomplishments of students. Shri V. S. Mathur, GM, P&A and Shri P. S. Pal, DGM Finance, CET and member LMC also adorned the function with their kind presence.

DPS Ranchi was honoured by the benign presence of Dr. Sanak Mishra,Vice President, Arcelor Mittal & CEO, Greenfield Projects India, who had also held the position of Pro- Vice Chairman of DPS Ranchi in the past. He was back in the school on 19 April 2012 to present the awards to the young achievers in the field of academics. Rajarshi Khan was given the cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for securing first position in Science Olympiad Foundation. Samyak held 54th rank in Inter DPS Maths Olympiad and for this he received Rs 4000. Three students of class XII, Sthitapragyan Parida, Anupam Singh and Namran Pan were successful in KVPY(Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) exam 2011. Each of them were given Rs 1000 by the school management. Besides these, many other students were also awarded for having performed well in different competitive examinations. Dr. Sanak Mishra in his speech urged the students to develop leadership qualities in themselves, which will emanate from the combination of the sense of responsibility and courage.

DPS Ranchi also organised an event to recognise the sporting talents of the school. On 27 April 2012, Annual Sports Awards were given to the blooming athletes of the school for the session 2011-2012. Revered chief guest for the occasion Dr D. Mukherjee, ED, RDCIS, SAIL gave away the medals and certificates to the winners in different categories. Atul Vignesh and Srishty Jha bagged the titles of individual champions among boys and girls respectively and Ravi House lifted the trophy for being the overall champion among all six houses. Shri J. Mohanty, the Principal congratulated the winners and encouraged them to strive harder for higher feats. Dr. D. Mukherjee said that sports is ornamental in achieving the aims of education and teaches how to live one’s life with dignity.

DPS Boys Top in NCO/UCO

Rajarshi Khan of Class X, Delhi Public School Ranchi has received the First Position at the 11th National Cyber Olympiad. He will be receiving a sum of Rs. One Lakh for his commendable performance. The Top three Rank holders will be felicitated in the month of April, 2012.


Utkarsh Anand of Class X, Delhi Public School, Ranchi has topped in Unified Cyber Olympiad - 2011 at the All India level. He will be felicitated at the Annual Awards Celebrations Ceremony on 06-05-2012. at Ravindra Bharti Auditorium, Lakdikapool, Hyderabad. Utkarsh will be awarded with a Gold Medal, a NetBook Laptop and a memento.


Achievements in the field of Sports

  • Manav Poddar and Lalit Mohan Deo are the winners of Jharkhand State Badminton Championship Doubles (under -17) category, which was held from 27 to 30 December, 2011 at Hazaribagh.

  • Manav Poddar emerged as the State Champion in the same tournament in Singles (under-17) category.

  • Manav Poddar and Lalit Mohan Deo were runners up in CBSE East Zone Badminton Championship (U-19) held at Durgapur from 20 to 24 October, 2011 and reached the Quarter Final of CBSE National Badminton Championship held at DAV Koyla Nagar from 6 to 10 December, 2011.

  • Srishty  Jha and Rakshanda Singh emerged as 2nd Runners-up in CBSE East-Zone Badminton Championship (u-16) at Durgapur.

  • Yash Kinger of Class XI won the First Open Jharkhand Squash Championship in Under 17 category, which was organized by Jharkhand State Squash Association, held on 19 and 20 November, 2011.

Documentary made by Class IX student Gets Acclaim

Jharkhand State Bal Bhawan had organized a competition in which participants had to conduct a case study. Pramod Priya Ranjan, a student of class IX , DPS Ranchi prepared a documentary film in Hindi entitled  “PHIR KYON”, which was based on drug abuse and alcohol. The zonal competition was held in Bhopal in the month of October where 9 groups from 4 states competed with each other and this documentary was given 1st prize.

It will go for the national level competition in the month of March, which will be organized by National Bal Bhawan, Delhi. State toppers of 2011- Regional Mathematical Olympiad

Regional Mathematical Olympiad issued the list of state toppers of 2011,which included 6 students from DPS Ranchi. The successful candidates are Ashwini, Sthitapragyan Parida, Adarsh Kr Singh,Namran Pan, Pratyush Kumar and Prateek Mishra.These studentswill appear in National Mathematical Olympiad in February 2012.

Debaters at their Best

The students of DPS, Ranchi impressed all with their gift of gab and won prizes for their powerful speech in a debate competition organized by an NGO, “Prayaas”. The topic for Debate in the senior category was-“Social Networking is good for youngsters” and in this group Rooha Khurshid and Deepshi of Class XI bagged 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively Arundhati Mahapatra of class X and Vaibhav Chitlangia of class IX got 1st and 2nd prizes in the junior category where the topic of debate was “SMS language is helpful for youth”.

Exceptional Performance brings Recognition

Samyak of Class IX has brought laurels to the school with his achievement. He has been presented “National Child Award for Exception al Achievement” by the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt of India. Selection for this award was done on the basis of merit certificates of students. 27 students were selected for this award from all over India and Samyak of Delhi Public School, Ranchi was the only one from Jharkhand. This award was given to students in a function organized on 14th Nov 2011, in the Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi.

Smt. Krishna Tirath, Honorable Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Independent change presented the prestigious award to students, Samyak received a silver medal, a certificate, a citation booklet and Rs.10000.

DPS Nightingales Shine at National Level

Delhi Public School, Ranchi came out with flying colors and emerged victorious at the National Music Competition of Semi Classical Music.16 Delhi Public Schools participated at the national level held on 12 Nov. 2010 at Delhi and DPS Ranchi was declared national champions in both solo song and group song competitions. Vileena Patra got 1st prize in solo music and the participants in the group were - Vileena, Ritwija, Anwesha, Ria, Ranjana, Saif, Ayush and Debamita.

Dancing Daffodils of DPS

An Inter DPS Fusion Dance Competition for the East Zone was held at MTI auditorium, Ranchi on 18 Nov. 2010. DPS , Ranchi was the host school for this competition. 11 Delhi Public Schools participated out of which DPS Bokaro emerged as the first prize winner. DPS Ranchi, DPS Kalinga bagged the second and the third positions respectively. The first and the second prize winners i.e. DPS Bokaro and DPS Ranchi have qualified for the national level which is to be held at DPS Rohini on 19th Dec. 2010. The participating schools had come from Bokaro, Damanjodi, Dhaligaon, Jamshedpur, Kalinga, Ruby Park, New Town, Numaligarh, Nazira, Raurkela and Ranchi.

The principal said on this occasion that art forms like dance are an integral part of the holistic education. It provides an extra dimension of depth, diversity and color to the personality.

Cultural Roots Get Strengthened

The students of DPS Ranchi are excelling in every field. The Chinmaya Mission had organized Geeta Chanting Competition in which there was a huge turnout from DPS Ranchi and near about 1000 participants were there from the school. 120 students were shortlisted for the competition at city level. DPS Ranchi got 12 prizes at the city level and all these students went for the state level competition. The final results were very encouraging for the school with 9 students being awarded out of which 3 held outstanding position, 4 were excellent and 1 each for very good and good categories.

A New Dancing Star on the Horizon

Sulagna Ray, a student of class VIII from DPS Ranchi has been selected for the award of "Cultural Talent Search Scholarship - 2010" in the field of Kathak Dance by Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, New Delhi, under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.

DPS Ranchi students bring laurels by wining championship

Delhi Public School Ranchi won the Arun Kumar Mangalam shield and became the overall champion school of the Annual Competition 2010 organized by Ram Krishna Mission Ranchi in the month of August. 2000 students of Ranchi participated in this competition. Among them 214 students were awarded prizes for different events like Recitation, Speech, Quiz, Debate, Music, Sit and Draw and Essay writing competition. DPS Ranchi got altogether 116 points from 44 prizes comprising of 10-1st prizes, 16-2nd prizes and 18-3rd prizes.

DPS Ranchi Bags Top Position in Inter-DPS Skit Competition

The students of DPS Ranchi proved themselves once again in the field of extra-curricular activities, when they won the 1st prize for the school in Inter-DPS Skit Competition for the Eastern Zone, which was held at DPS Kalinga on 4th September 2010. There were six participants in the skit - Ananya Sen, Rudranshu Banerjee, Akriti, Aneeshwa Dey, Rupesh Raj and Shivali Srivastava. This team will compete with the winners of other zones at the national level.

DPS Students Make a Mark Internationally

Two students of DPS Ranchi Zeeshan Ahsan and Harsh Raj both from class IX got an opportunity to visit the campus of IIT Guwahati and participate in its Annual Techno-Management Festival-TECHNICHE-2010 on 2nd to 5th September 2010.During their stay at Guwahati, they took part in various events, which tested their skill, presence of mind and scientific aptitude. More than 60 schools from all over India and abroad had participated in this. On the basis of their performance in these events, the two students of DPS Ranchi secured the 2nd position. For this festival ,these two students had qualified the Technothlon'10 Prelims- The International School Championship, which was conducted by IIT Guwahati on the 18th of July across 70 cities in India along with two international centers namely Dubai and Singapore.


Mahima Bags 1st Position in Painting Competition at National Level
Mahima Roy of Class VIII C of Delhi Public School, Ranchi secured 1st position in India in the “VIIIth Painting Competition All Over the World”. The competition was organized by National Institute of Fashion Technology on 8th and 15th August, 2010 in India and abroad.

  • Five students of Delhi Public School, Ranchi have qualified Inter. DPS Science and Maths Olympiad held at DPS Science and Maths Olympiad held at DPS, NOIDA on January 10, 2010 and have brought lawels to the school.
