Yash of DPS Ranchi Sets off to USA For Exchange Programme
Yash Anil Saboo a student of Delhi Public School, Ranchi leaves for USA on Saturday, 5th August 2017 in order to be a part of Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program.
Youth Exchange and Study Programs or YES Programs is a full scholarship student exchange programme administered by the U.S. Department of States. The program is funded through the U.S. Department of State and sponsored by the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs (ECA).
YES Abroad students serve as “youth ambassadors” of the United States, promoting mutual understanding by forming lasting relationships with their host families and communities. Participants will live with a host family, attending a local high school, acquiring leadership skills, and engaging in activities to learn about the host country’s society and values. The candidates will also help educate others about American society and values.
The scholarship will be covering all the expenses. He will be putting up with an American family for a year and will be engaged in various activities which will help him to learn more about their social system and culture. During his stay he will be presenting 25 presentation related to Indian culture.
Principal Dr. Ram Singh remarked that it is a proud moment for the school as well as the nation that Yash Anil Saboo has reached to such heights and will serve as youth ambassador in United States. He also wished Yash good luck for his bright future.
Yash’s parents expressed their gratitude to Dr. Ram, Singh the principal of the school for giving him this golden opportunity. They were also very happy because it would be a great opportunity for Yash to strive for global exploration and enhance personal and cross- culture communication skills.
Shubham Saha of DPS Ranchi won Bronze medal in IMO-2017
A student of Delhi Public School, Ranchi, Subham Saha becomes the star of the nation. He won the Bronze medal at “International Mathematics Olympiad-2017” held at Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and has made the school as well as the nation proud.
The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is an annual six problem Mathematics Olympiad for pre-college students, and is the oldest of the International Mathematics Olympiad. About 100 countries send teams consisting ofone team leader, one deputy leader, and observers. The content ranges from extremely difficult algebra and pre-calculus problems to problems on branches of mathematics not conventionally covered at school and often not at university level either, such as projective and complex geometry, functional equation and well-grounded number theory, of which extensive knowledge of theorems is required.
On this proud moment the head of the institution Dr. Ram Singh congratulated ShubahamSaha and said that, Shubham has made us proud and has proved that even the sky has no limits and yet there is space above the sky which leads to success stories yet to be made. He also wished to produce more ShubhamSahas in the days to come.
The parents of Shubham were speechless with the success of their son and said that it a proud moment for them that their son has reached to such great heights. They also said that they are highly grateful to the school, teachers and especially the principal without whose help and guidance it would not have been possible. It’s like a dream come true.
DPS Ranchi Alumnus makes it to IIM Ahmedabad
Shubham Goyal S/o- Dr. Alok Goyal (IAS) an alumnus of Delhi Public School Ranchi has made the school proud by making for 2 years MBA program for the session 2017-19 at the prestigious IIM Ahmedabad. He passed his class 12th from DPS Ranchi in 2013 securing 96% marks. He is presently pursuing his B. Tech in Computer science from Delhi Technological University, will be completing his B Tech in May 2017. He has always been a sincere and hardworking student.
The Principal of the School Dr. Ram Singh congratulated him and wished him the very best in life.
