Shweta Prabha Bisoyi wins the First Board Prize
Dipsites Shweta Bisoyi, Vanya Maini, Arpita Kumari and Aditi Kumari of Delhi Public School, Ranchi ranks second in the U/11 CBSE National Chess Championship Girls (Open)-2017, held at Sarla Birla School, Ranchi on 14th -18th November 2017.
800 students representing the different States of the country competed in the U/11 CBSE National Chess Championship Girls (Open)-2017.
With 8 Match Points Delhi Public School, Ranchi won the 2nd position in the Championship leaving Amity School Noida in the 3rd Position with 6 Match Points.
Winning all the 5 matches Shweta Prabha Bisoyi also received the First Board Prize of the Championship.
The Principal of the school Dr. Ram Singh congratulated and appreciated the students for their performance and said that it was an opportunity for the students to showcase their mental ability. He also encouraged the students to excel in this field.
Ved Vatsal Qualify for National Level Painting Completion.
Ved Vatsal of class V of Delhi Public School,Ranchi, ranks third in the State Level Painting Completion, organised at Jaganathpur Club on 14th November 2017, by Damoder Valley Corporation.
100 students of different districts of Jharkhand competed at the State Level Painting completion.
The competition was divided into two groups. Group A consisted of students from class IV-VI and Group B consisted of class VII-IX. Competing with the top 50 students of the state in Group A, Ved Vatsal received the third position and qualified for the National Level Painting completion.
On the other hand Adrijaa Sarkar of class VIII received the first consolation prize in Group B.
Ved Vatsal will be representing the school and the state at the National Level Painting completion, which is to be held in Delhi, in December 2017.
Dr. Ram Singh the Principal of the school congratulated Ved and Adrijaa for their wonderful performance. He also gave Ved his best wishes for his performance at the National Level.
Yash of DPS Ranchi Sets off to USA For Exchange Programme
Yash Anil Saboo a student of Delhi Public School, Ranchi leaves for USA on Saturday, 5th August 2017 in order to be a part of Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program.
Youth Exchange and Study Programs or YES Programs is a full scholarship student exchange programme administered by the U.S. Department of States. The program is funded through the U.S. Department of State and sponsored by the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs (ECA).
YES Abroad students serve as “youth ambassadors” of the United States, promoting mutual understanding by forming lasting relationships with their host families and communities. Participants will live with a host family, attending a local high school, acquiring leadership skills, and engaging in activities to learn about the host country’s society and values. The candidates will also help educate others about American society and values.
The scholarship will be covering all the expenses. He will be putting up with an American family for a year and will be engaged in various activities which will help him to learn more about their social system and culture. During his stay he will be presenting 25 presentation related to Indian culture.
Principal Dr. Ram Singh remarked that it is a proud moment for the school as well as the nation that Yash Anil Saboo has reached to such heights and will serve as youth ambassador in United States. He also wished Yash good luck for his bright future.
Yash’s parents expressed their gratitude to Dr. Ram, Singh the principal of the school for giving him this golden opportunity. They were also very happy because it would be a great opportunity for Yash to strive for global exploration and enhance personal and cross- culture communication skills.
