Yash Saboo of DPS Ranchi Wins the YES Grand Prize
Yash Saboo of Delhi Public School, Ranchi, presently studying in ALBIA Community High School, USA, was selected through a rigorous selection procedure to represent his country for the Foreign Exchange Programme.
It is a matter of immense pride and honor for the school that Yash Saboo is the YES Grand Prize Winner of the International Education Week (IEW)-2017.
The Students of FLEX and YES Programme participated in The International Education Week (IEW)-2017.
International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. It is joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. It is a part of their efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.
It also encourages the participation of all individuals and institutions interested in international education and exchange activities, which includes schools, colleges, universities, embassies, international organizations, businesses, associations, and community organizations.
Dr. Ram Singh the Principal of the school congratulated Yash on his achievement and wished him good luck for his upcoming future.
Bombay Diplomacy Summit 2017
Eight students of Delhi Public School Ranchi recently took part in Bombay Diplomacy Summit 2017. and three out of the eight are adjudged as best speakers. All the students who took part are studying in class XI.
This summit was organised jointly by Government Law College, Mumbai and Amity Law School, Noida at Govt. Law College, Mumbai. It was held on 23rd and 24th December 2017 respectively.
Harshit Panjwani was awarded a medal for being the best speaker of the Law Commission group. He spoke on reviewing Rape Laws of India with special mention to marital Rape and Gender Neutrality.
Vedika Dhandhania and Harsh were among the top 5 speakers of their group. They spoke about Reviewing Citizenship Laws with special emphasis on immigration from South Asian Nations.
The names of the participants are :-
Ananya Taneja, Kush Taneja, Devleena Prasad, Maitreyi Upadhyay and Utkarsh Singh.
The chief guest of the ceremony while giving away the prizes appreciated the children of DPS Ranchi because they were competing with the students who are pursuing career in law.
Dr. Ram Singh the Principal of the school congratulated the students and said that participation in such events would surely enable them to achieve their goals in life.
The students than the Principal and said it was a wonderful experience for them.
Dipsite Animesh Sinha qualifies for INOI.
Animesh Sinha a standard XII student of Delhi Public School Ranchi, qualified for the Prestigious Indian National Olympiad in Informatics (INOI) by clearing Zonal Computer Olympiad (ZCO) and Zonal Information Olympiad (ZIO).
The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is an annual competitive programming competition for secondary school students. Students of 84 countries participate in this Olympiad. The contest consists of two days of computer programming and problem-solving of algorithm nature.
It is a very rare case wherein a student has qualified for both simultaneously and proving his mettel.
INOI is a code Chef Initiative happens to be a huge platform for aspiring programmers, but at the same time a tough nut to crack.
Animesh with his dynamic knowledge and a blend towards programming languages and Algorithmic accuracy could manage to clear the first stage.
Honourable principal Dr. Ram Singh congratulated Animesh and extended his blessings for the upcoming round and said that Animesh’s achievement will encourage the students to develop interest in the IT sector.
