Another Achievement Adds to the History
Adrijaa Sarkar (class-VIII) of Delhi Public School, Ranchi was declared the winner in the State level Painting Competition organised by Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Govt. of India.
The theme of the competition was water conservation.
On winning this competition Adrijaa was awarded with a prize money of 5000/-.
On the other hand giving a tough competition to the participants Ritiraj (class- VII) received the 1st consolation prize in this competition.
Adrijaa will be going to represent the school and the state at the National level painting competition, which will be held in New Delhi, in the month of March.
On their achievement Principal Dr. Ram Singh congratulated them and said that it was an opportunity for the students to showcase their level of creativity. He also encouraged the students to focus in this field and gave Adrijaa his best wishes for the next level.
Adrijaa and Ritiraj thanked the Principal for providing them the opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity and said that it was possible only due to the support and guidance of the honourable principal and their mentors.
Rayyan Shahid of DPS Ranchi in INMO from Jharkhand
Delhi Public School, Ranchi has once again emerged at the top position with Rayyan Shahid qualifying in Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) -2018. He is the only student from the state of Jharkhand to qualify in this Olympiad.
The candidates who have qualified in INMO-2018 will be undergoing a training programme in order to hone their mathematical skills for International Mathematical Olympiad which will be held in Romania.
The International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) - 2018 will be organized at Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education in Mumbai from 18th April, 2018 to 16th May, 2018.
Dr. Ram Singh, Principal, DPS Ranchi extend his good wishes and congratulated Rayyan Shahid for his commendable performance and wished him all the best for his future endeavours. He also said that preparation of IMO is taken very seriously in DPS Ranchi so that it is successfully and richly awarded.
Ankit Kumar and Suminder Kaur Awarded by the Korean Ambassador
Ankit Kumar of class-X and Suminder Kaur of class XI, won the second prize in the 1st Korean-Indian Friendship Painting Competition 2017 of PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games Painting Competition. It was organized by Korean Cultural Center India, Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
It was indeed a matter of great honour for the students as the prizes were given by the Korean ambassador in the Korean Culture Centre, New Delhi.
After receiving the award, Ankit Kumar and Suminder Kaur left for Korea to be a part of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
The Principal of the school Dr. Ram Singh congratulated both the students on receiving the award and said that such achievements will not only brighten the future of students but also motivate other pupils to excel. He also said that this trip to Korea will help them explore and know about Korean culture and heritage.
On this achievement sharing their happiness Ankit Kumar and Suminder Kaur said that it was an honour for them to receive this award from the Korean ambassador. They also said that this was only possible due to their honourable Principal Dr. Ram Singh, who provided them this golden opportunity.
