DPS Students Shine in UPSC
Delhi Public School Ranchi does it once again. UPSC announced the results of Civil Services on Friday and two of our former students of DPS Ranchi qualified this prestigious exam.
Sagar Kumar Jha of DPS Ranchi secured the 13th position in UPSC. He has always been a very sincere and hardworking child and has made the school proud earlier as well with his excellent performance in AISSCE-2011. He completed his B.Tech from IIT BHU.
Dr. Ram Singh, the school Principal congratulated both the former students for their overwhelming success and said that such type of achievement is a motivation for other students of DPS.
Shrey Vats son of late Vijay Kumar Sinha is the other Dipsite who secured 343rd rank in UPSC is a graduate from BITS Pilani. He passed out from DPS Ranchi in the year 2007.
Enthralling Success of DPS Ranchi in the Semi- final round of HIPPO - 2018
Shrishti Anindya Bhagat of Delhi Public School Ranchi registered herself as the only candidate from India to clear the second round of the prestigious International Competition in English Language organized by Global HIPPO Association. She obtained 65.5% marks in the competition. She has qualified for the final round of HIPPO - 2018 which will be held in Lido di Jesolo, Italy on 12th and 13th May 2018. The competition was organized for students between the age group of 9 - 19 years from the whole world.
DPS Ranchi constantly strives at providing students with opportunities at the International Level and this achievement has proved to be yet another success in it.
HIPPO is an International competition which promotes English Language and challenges students around the globe to compete in English language for developing a firm grip into it.
The primary goal of this Organization is to create and nourish friendly relations, international understanding and a spirit of sporting competitiveness between young people interested in English Language from all round the world.
The school Principal Dr. Ram Singh extended his good wishes to Shrishti and expressed his desire to see her winning the final round at Italy as well.
Natasha Nangia of DPS Ranchi selected in Times Spark Scholarship - 2018
Natasha Nangia of DPS Ranchi came out with flying colours with her selection in top 300 students for the prestigious scholarship. "Times Spark Scholarship 2018".
This scholarship comes under READ TO LEAD programme. Spark stands for Scholarship Programme for Awareness, Responsibility and Knowledge. This was an endeavour to encourage school students of class XI to XII to develop a reading habit that helps them understand about their society and environment, so that they can go on to write the future.
Such type of scholarship programmes always grooms the skills of the students towards learning and doing something good and innovative as students get an opportunity to bring out their inner self over papers and spread a messege in society.
The Times of India carried out one article per day across a range of fields like current affairs, science and technology, sports, politics, social issues, global developments etc. Over a span of 3 months from 5th September last year these articles provided multidimensional perspectives to help students get a deeper understanding of various interesting subjects. At the end, there were multiple online tests followed by a personal interview to assess the understanding and perspectives. Natasha Nangia came out with her success after clearing all these and brought name and fame not only to her but also for the school.
On this victorious occasion , the school principal Dr Ram Singh, congratulated Natasha and said that such type of success will boost up the morale of other students of the school and will encourage them to inculcate the habit of reading which will have an cumulative impact on their overall knowledge building. Dr Singh said that it is knowledge that acts as a pillar in a person’s life and with knowledge one can shine high in his life.
