Natasha Nangia of DPS Ranchi selected in Times Spark Scholarship - 2018

Natasha Nangia of DPS Ranchi came out with flying colours with her selection in top 300 students for the prestigious scholarship. "Times Spark Scholarship 2018"

This scholarship comes under READ TO LEAD programme. Spark stands for Scholarship Programme for Awareness, Responsibility and Knowledge. This was an endeavour to encourage school students of class XI to XII to develop a reading habit that helps them understand about their society and environment, so that they can go on to write the future.

Such type of scholarship programmes always grooms the skills of the students towards learning and doing something good and innovative as students get an opportunity to bring out their inner self over papers and spread a messege in society.

The Times of India carried out one article per day across a range of fields like current affairs, science and technology, sports, politics, social issues, global developments etc. Over a span of 3 months from 5th September last year these articles provided multidimensional perspectives to help students get a deeper understanding of various interesting subjects. At the end, there were multiple online tests followed by a personal interview to assess the understanding and perspectives. Natasha Nangia came out with her success after clearing all these and brought name and fame not only to her but also for the school.

On this victorious occasion , the school principal Dr Ram Singh, congratulated Natasha and said that such type of success will boost up the morale of other students of the school and will encourage them to inculcate the habit of reading which will have an cumulative impact on their overall knowledge building. Dr Singh said that it is knowledge that acts as a pillar in a person’s life and with knowledge one can shine high in his life.
