DPS Ranchi won the Nationals of Inter DPS Music Festival
Tithi Ghosh (Class XII R) of Delhi Public School Ranchi has won the nationals of Inter-DPS Music Festival in Solo Singing Category which was held at DPS R.K. Puram. 17 teams who had won the zonal level competitions from DPS Bhilai, DPS Noida, DPS R K Puram, DPS Vasantkunj, DPS Ranipur, DPS Durg,etc. had participated in the programme.
Tithi Ghosh earned the maximum accolades amidst all the participants. Shri V.K. Shunglu, Chairman DPS Society, was words full of praise for the melodious voice of Tithi who presented her the winner’s trophy. He also appreciated Dr. Ram Singh, the principal of the school for encouraging students’ growth not only in academics but also in various other fields.
The principal Dr. Ram Singh, expressed his sheer delight at this win and said that the students of DPS Ranchi have such potential that they will definitely lead in all the fields.
Ankit Kumar of DPS Ranchi got 1st Prize in State Level Painting Competition
A state level painting competition orgainsed by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. The competition was held on 9th November 2016 at Jagannathpur club, HEC, Ranchi. Around 50 students from each group were selected for state level painting competition.
There are two groups. Group A for classes IV to VI and Group B for classes VII to IX.
In Group-A, Aryaman (class V) of Delhi Public School, Ranchi made painting on the topic ‘Save Energy, Get Wealthy’ got consolation prize and received a cash award of Rs. 5000. Whereas in Group – B, Ankit Kumar (Class IX) of Delhi Public School, Ranchi made painting on the topic ‘Energy Conservation for Energy Foundation’ got 1st prize and received a cash award of Rs. 20000.
Ankit kumar painting will go to Delhi for National level whose result will declare on 14th December, 2016.
Ankit already got 3rd prize in national level painting competition in 2012 and received award from the president of India.
Both students prepared under the guidance of School Art teachers and motivated by the Principal of DPS Ranchi.
Dr. Ram Singh Principal DPS Ranchi congratulated both of them and wish to achieve their goal in future.
DPS Ranchi bags first prize in Youth World Painting Competition
Delhi Public School, Ranchi, Strongly believes that academics and co-curricular activities should always go in hand and hand for the holistic development of a child. This has been rightly proved by Ankit Kumar of DPS Ranchi who received the First Prize in senior group in the final round of Youth World Painting Competition at Kolkata.
Adrija Sarkar of the same cradle was awarded the fourth prize in the junior group.
Dr. Ram Singh, Principal DPS Ranchi, congratulated the students and said that it was a matter of great pride for the school. He also said that we in DPS try to motivate and empower the students so that a child’s innate potential is developed to its fullest.
