DPS Ranchi bags first prize in Youth World Painting Competition
Delhi Public School, Ranchi, Strongly believes that academics and co-curricular activities should always go in hand and hand for the holistic development of a child. This has been rightly proved by Ankit Kumar of DPS Ranchi who received the First Prize in senior group in the final round of Youth World Painting Competition at Kolkata.
Adrija Sarkar of the same cradle was awarded the fourth prize in the junior group.
Dr. Ram Singh, Principal DPS Ranchi, congratulated the students and said that it was a matter of great pride for the school. He also said that we in DPS try to motivate and empower the students so that a child’s innate potential is developed to its fullest.

‘Mathematics is my passion’ says Shubham Saha of Delhi Public School Ranchi, who is the only one from Jharkhand to participate in the Twenty Eighth Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad, 2016.This exam aims at discovering, encouraging and challenging mathematically gifted school students in all Pacific-Rim countries. It is one of the most prestigious exam in the field of Maths and all the countries on the Pacific Rim, including countries in Asia and in the Americas participate in the annual APMO.
Today when all the children aspire to be engineers and doctors he wants to become a mathematician like Aryabhatta. Dr. Ram Singh Principal DPS Ranchi congratulated Shubham and said that his mathematical acumen really surprises him. It was also stated by him that earlier also he has made the school proud by securing the 1st position in the state of Jharkhand in RMO and INMO.
Ranchi Dipsite adds another feather to the CAP of DPS
Tushar Rishi of class XI of Delhi Public School Ranchi has won the Runner-up-Trophy in “a-clue-a-day” (ACAD) Cryptic Crossword Contest 2016. The contest was held on 13th March 2016 at Kolkata.
15 Schools from Kolkata and Jharkhand took part in this contest. The Contestants were given a Cryptic Cross Word which they were expected to solve within an hour. It is very important that the contestants should have a good command over English vocabulary in order to make it to the top. Literally skills of the students is also honed and it also promotes lateral thinking.
Dr. Ram Singh Principal DPS Ranchi Congratulated Tushar for his brilliant performance and also said that such skills are very essential to give the children that sharp edge which would help them to crack various competitive exam in future.
