Shubham Saha of DPS Ranchi won Bronze medal in IMO-2017
A student of Delhi Public School, Ranchi, Subham Saha becomes the star of the nation. He won the Bronze medal at “International Mathematics Olympiad-2017” held at Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and has made the school as well as the nation proud.
The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is an annual six problem Mathematics Olympiad for pre-college students, and is the oldest of the International Mathematics Olympiad. About 100 countries send teams consisting ofone team leader, one deputy leader, and observers. The content ranges from extremely difficult algebra and pre-calculus problems to problems on branches of mathematics not conventionally covered at school and often not at university level either, such as projective and complex geometry, functional equation and well-grounded number theory, of which extensive knowledge of theorems is required.
On this proud moment the head of the institution Dr. Ram Singh congratulated ShubahamSaha and said that, Shubham has made us proud and has proved that even the sky has no limits and yet there is space above the sky which leads to success stories yet to be made. He also wished to produce more ShubhamSahas in the days to come.
The parents of Shubham were speechless with the success of their son and said that it a proud moment for them that their son has reached to such great heights. They also said that they are highly grateful to the school, teachers and especially the principal without whose help and guidance it would not have been possible. It’s like a dream come true.
DPS Ranchi Alumnus makes it to IIM Ahmedabad
Shubham Goyal S/o- Dr. Alok Goyal (IAS) an alumnus of Delhi Public School Ranchi has made the school proud by making for 2 years MBA program for the session 2017-19 at the prestigious IIM Ahmedabad. He passed his class 12th from DPS Ranchi in 2013 securing 96% marks. He is presently pursuing his B. Tech in Computer science from Delhi Technological University, will be completing his B Tech in May 2017. He has always been a sincere and hardworking student.
The Principal of the School Dr. Ram Singh congratulated him and wished him the very best in life.
Yash Anil Sahoo of DPS Ranchi Selected for YES programme scholarship 2017 -USA
Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) programme scholarship 2017 to the United States of America.
The YES program is an innovative high school student exchange program funded by US State department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural affairs. It is an excellent opportunity to begin a student global exploration and to gains a stronger understanding of US: Indian and international relations. It is an opportunity to enhance a student personal and cross-cultural communication skills, which will prove to be a great asset in future for the participant.
The selection process to participate in this program was extremely difficult. An excellent pool of applications were received this year. But our candidate had the personal and academic qualities needed as a Kennedy-Lugar YES program youth from India to the United States. It’s a matter of great pleasure to our school that Yash Anil Saboo of has selected for YES program. Our selected student will attend Pre-Departure Orientation in Delhi from 6th to 8th June 2017. Where all of the students participating in the program from all over India this year will meet.

The selection of Yash Anil Saboo for YES programme was possible only because of the able guidance of our principal Dr. Ram Singh. We also received influencing support from Mr. Anurag Gupta, (ADG Special Branch). He was the one who showed us the way to move ahead in this direction.
