The competition encourages the development of a shared sense of identity and integration, serves as a role model for young people living together as one community. The main goal is to create and nourish friendly relations, international understanding and a spirit of sporting competitiveness between young people interested in English language from all around the world.

The first round of this prestigious international Olympiad was held in the month of February 2019. DPS Ranchi has been conducting this competition since a couple of years under its wing of Overseas Opportunities. Centre of Overseas Opportunities was again an initiative taken by our honourable Principal Dr. Ram Singh for making DPS Ranchi a school with Global opportunities.

He always advocates the enhancement of the child’s perception of the world and Centre of Overseas Opportunities is a stepping stone for that. The school’s approach is to integrate multiple dimensions and global perspectives within the school curriculum so that education is not just stuck in the subject-knowledge and national culture. The school seeks to discover alternative motivations and alternate futures for the children. Such Olympiads are only to strengthen the motto of Global Citizenship among the children.

He congratulated the winner and urged other students to get inspired by her success.
