Father`s in action at DPS Ranchi
"Dad… The tears in my eyes making me take a while.
To tell you how much you’ve made me smile"
A father is a mentor, a hero and a best friend to his child. They are someone we look up to. The morning of 07/08/2018 at DPS Ranchi shone to light up the ambience of the premise. The young Dipsites of class I conjoined to bring out the most distinctive program of the year. The moment was to celebrate and honour the spirit of fatherhood, hoisted by the charming bundles of joy. The program opened with the various songs for the inspiring fathers sung by their tiny tots. The songs included – My Daddy is big and strong, I have a very special friend, Daddy is his name etc… The list was endless as the tiny lips seemed to be unstoppable singing the praises of ever first hero of their life. It is truly said that action speaks better than words. when your words are not enough to express your thoughts, your action does it for you. so, did try to do the little wonders by staging a heart-touching skit and asking for a bit of their father’s precious time. The skit filled little drops of remorse in everybody’s eyes. The conscious realization reflected in every eye and the determined fathers smiled with the promise to give them the same. After all, their world begins and end with their children.
Further, the program turned out to be amazingly more interesting when the fathers struggled to prove that it’s not always a mother who knows her child best. Moreover the auditorium filled with burst of laughter at every wrong answer and the frowning of the children to the response of it during the questionnaire and ‘like fathers like son’ round. Fathers also received beautiful cards with lovely wishes. The children penned down all their unspoken love for their heroes on the piece of their heart. The program proceeded to its closure with a thanks giving ceremony for every little thing they do now and forever…
The principal, Dr. Ram Singh being a father figure to the school addressed the fathers and took the moment to appreciate the young talents. Talking about the skit, the children represented, he reminded everybody that it’s not always us who expect uncountable number of things from our children but our children also expect something, ‘our time’ which is not more valuable than our children’s happiness. They need us at every step irrespective of their age, irrespective for their mother’s presence and it is rightly said that,
The time spent with the children is the time worth spent.
Thus a joyous day ended with an unbreakable promise, a promise of love, a promise of care, a promise that will always remain in the air…
