Hindi Diwas Celebrated

Under the guidance of the honorable Principal Dr. Ram Singh Delhi Public School, Ranchi organized a three day celebration on “Hindi Diwas” in the school premises.

In this three day celebration the school organized debate, easy writing and poem and story writing competition for the students. In these competitions the students were instructed to not to use any of the English words in the honor of the “Hindi Diwas”, which not only made the competition interesting but also entertaining.

On the last day of the celebration an interactive session was organized for the teachers in the form of quiz related to Hindi Literature and the fields Hindi is at its utmost use. During this session the teachers also shared their views on the language Hindi and experiences with their Hindi teacher as students.

On this occasion honorable Vice Principal too shared his view with the lines of the famous poet Iqubal and said “Hindi Hain Hum, Vatan Hai Hindustan Hamara…”

Dr. Ram Singh the Principal of the school said that in today’s developing India the in most of the organizations and institutions English is given priority, yet we communicate and express our feelings in Hindi. Therefore, we shouldn’t forget that we are Hindi and the citizen of Hindustan.

The Vice Consul General of Japan Visits DPS Ranchi

Ms. Manami Kato the Vice Consul from the Consulate General of Japan in Kolkata visited Delhi Public School, Ranchi on 12th September 2017 for an interactive Session with the students. Mr. Gautam Ray the Cultural Officer was also present. The motto of this visit was to ensure that the students are given opportunities to broaden their horizon and exchange ideas with varied cultures.

On this day Ms. Kato expressed pleasure stating that the school is making genuine efforts to ensure that the youth are given opportunities to broaden their horizon through exchange of ideas with varied cultures. While interacting with the students she informed the students about the basic facts about Japan including Japanese lifestyle, language, food habits, art and craft, advanced technologies, use of masks in theater to depict various kinds of emotions, use of robots in day to day life etc. though a very interesting presentation.

The students took part actively in the interactive session and some of them were of the opinion that the slides shown on use of robots in hotels, Origami, Noh Theatre and Koji to be very interesting.

A fun quiz related to Japan was also conducted by our esteemed guests in whom the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Dr. Ram Singh the Principal of the school is a person who is ever ready to implement innovative techniques in the field of education and this session has been organized in keeping with this trend. He is of the opinion that it is a great opportunity for the students to know and learn about the Japanese lifestyle and culture and this will be helpful for them to become global citizens. He also feels that it is a unique platform for the youth of the two countries to garner friendship and exchange ideas.

At the end of the session the students found it very interesting and said that through this programme they could learn many intriguing facts related to Japan.

Robotics Study at DPS Ranchi

Delhi Public School, Ranchi has always believed in taking new and unique initiative for the growth and development of the students. A Robotics lab has been setup in the school to help the students establish themselves as successful individuals. DPS Ranchi is the first school to start imparting lessons on Robotics for the students of Classes VIII- X.

Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots as well as computer systems of their control, sensory feedback, and information processing.

Robotics lab provides an enabling environment for students to innovate through a do-it-yourself approach. The Lab is equipped with machines and instruments such as Lego mindstorm ev3, Arduino, aero-modeling kit, other Microcontrollers from USA.

These equipments will help the students bring theoretical concepts to life and inculcate a range of skills like design, computational thinking and physical computing. Due to the practical orientation of this approach, students will learn to make and invent new technologies which, in turn, can lead to the development of real-world applications and new enterprises.

On this historical development Dr. Ram Singh the Principal of the school said that, working with tools and equipment will help the students understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). It is an initiative to motivate young generation to carve a brighter future for them and for India. He also said that it is helping the students get new ideas to modify the equipments and use it for a better perspective yet to be discovered.

Sharing their view the students said that it is a great initiative of the school and it is helping them, thing in a unique and creative way.

A Dipsite With a Rare Combination

A dipsite, Vaibhav Chitlangia has cleared the two rounds of the examination conducted by the “Institute of Company Secretaries of India” and had made the school proud.

Vaibhav has cleared the Foundation Programme Examination by securing Fifteenth-Joint Rank and Executive programme by Twenty Second- Joint Rank in the Merit List. Next he will be appearing for the Professional Programme, the last level of the programme. He is also perusing a 5 year integrated course in LLB.

In order to become a CS a 10+2 candidate has to undergo three examinations i.e, “Foundation Programme Examination”, “Executive programme” and “Professional Programme”. Where as a graduate candidate has to clear “Executive programme” and “Professional Programme” to become a CS.

Dr. Ram Singh the principal of the school congratulated Vaibhav on his achievement and said that it is an honor for the school that the seed sown in DPS Ranchi is now growing into a tree and is reaching the heights of success.

Workshop on Swachh Bharat Pakhwada

Delhi Public School, Ranchi Contributed towards the society and nation and organized a session cum workshop for the teachers and a small street play on Swachh Bharat Pakhwada on 8th September 2017 (Friday).

Following the motto of a “Clean India for a Better India” the teachers were informed about the cleanliness and were instructed to encourage the students to take an initiative towards a clean school campus. They were also asked to educate the students to fulfill the vision of clean India.

On the other hand the students performed a street play giving the message of keeping the surroundings clean and the mother land a better and healthy land. Along with it an interactive session was also conducted for the students on clean India.

Dr. Ram Singh the Principal of the school said that it is an initiative of the school to contribute towards the nation and society to make it a better place to live in. He also said that these kinds of programmes will help the students understand the importance of Swach Bharat Abhiyan as they are the future of our nation.

Dipsites Won the State Level Inter school Dance Competition

Dipsites won the Inter school Dance Competition (State Level) organized by DOX (Doranda Old Xavirians) in the St. Xavier’s School, Ranchi premises. 29 schools of the state participated in this competition.

The competition was on the Fusion Dance Form. Each team consisted of 3-5 participants. The young performers namely Suvigya Shri, Spriha, Sinchan, Ayushi Goswami and Prarthna Chaubey represented DPS Ranchi on this competition.

On this glorious victory Dr. Ram Singh the principal of the school congratulated the students and showering his blessings he wished them luck for their future.

Swachh Bharat Pakhwada

The students of class V of DPS Ranchi observed ‘Swach Bharat Pakhwada and expressed their concern over the increasing filth and pollution, through a small programme.

The motive of the activity was to educate students about the importance of cleanliness and how to keep the environment clean.

The students presented a fun-filled educative stage street-play, poem, slogans and a short presentation on cleanliness.

Dr. Ram Singh the Principal of the school said that good habits should inculcate during the early stage and activities to promote sincerity and responsible approach towards the environment and their surroundings.

Teacher's day celebrated at DPS Ranchi

Teachers day was celebrated in the premises  of DPS Ranchi on Tuesday. 


Dr.  Ram Singh  the Principal  of Delhi Public School Ranchi welcomed  the teachers and appreciated  them for the academic performance of the students. He also said that it is the teachers who builds a nation and every individual  who teaches is a teacher. 

The programme  was continued  with sang beautiful songs and wonderful dance performances by the students. 
The day was followed  with interesting Tongue Twisters, Riddles and beautiful songs. The programme also consisted of competitions like Roti Making, competition, Tie Node Making competition, Identify  the instruments song & movie and act a celebrity competition. 
The honorable Principal & Headmasters were felicitated with a bouquet 
The programme  ended with a vote of thanks.

Annual Day – ‘Rising Stars’ (Classes Prep, I & II) at DPS Ranchi

Delhi Public School, Ranchi organized its Annual Day-‘Rising Stars’ for Classes Prep-II with great fanfare and pompous display on 1st September 2017 at Vivekananda Auditorium. It was an appropriate occasion for the upsurge of extraordinary pleasure and presentation of wide range of talents and creativity by a mass participation of approx 900 students.

The function was graced by Mr. Apresh Kumar Singh (Honourable Justice Jharkhand) as the Chief Guest and Ms. Vandana Singh as the Special Guest for the evening.

Dr. Ram Singh, Principal DPS Ranchi, addressed the assemblage and asserted that the school has always initiated such programmes where each and every student gets a platform  to exhibit his/her latent talents in a commendable manner. Apart from academics, the school inculcates cultural values which are an integral part of holistic development. He also emphasized that the school believes in fostering character building, enhancing the inquisitive spirit  and strengthening the social bonds of children with a perfect collaboration between students, parents and teachers to ensure that education provides ample opportunities for self fulfillment and nurtures  global citizens of tomorrow. He also applauded the extraordinary feat of Harshit Panjwanni of DPS Ranchi who forged ahead with untiring zeal and won the prestigious’ Pierre de Coubertin Medal’ which bears the same significance as the ‘Olympic Knowledge Test’ and broke the previous record by scoring 67/70 and bagged the 1st position. Dr. Ram Singh also illustrated that 26 countries participated and around 150 students took part in this 11th Youth Forum at Estonia. India participated for the first time and Harshit as a delegate from India brought immense honour to the nation.

The programme, commenced with an alluring dance ‘Dhoom’ by kids of Standard II followed by ‘Acting Pioneers’, a fascinating array of stagecrafts by the tiny tots of Class I. The toddlers of Prep presented ‘Jiggles’ a delightful jive imparting the message of being happy in every phase of life. The young fashionistas of Class-I had put up a ‘Kiddiewink Fashion Show’ displaying ethnic, western and indo-western outfits  and it was indeed a sheer bliss witnessing the tenderfeet walking on the ramp with great ease and attitude. ‘Enchanting Whirls’ an assimilation of diversified dance forms such as Batton Dance, Jhumur Folk Dance, Neo Classical, Punjabi Fusion Dance on English Beats left the spectators mesmerized. ‘Budding Warblers’ a musical soiree of emanating singers from class II left the audience enchanted and beguiled.

The Chief Guest motivated the young fledglings by showering praises on the huge success of the function and conveyed his blessings to the little ones for their future endeavours. He also applauded the school’s initiative in making learning fun filled, enjoyable and contemporary in today’s context.

The tiny bundles of joy were loaded with confidence and their enthralling performances were adjudged and they were awarded with titles and trophies for various categories.

ARTICLE-Revamping of Education System in Jharkhand

Education is an integral part in one’s life as it is the base of identity of an individual in the society. It creates our existence in this world and develops us as human being of knowledge, culture and behaviour.

Education layers a person with different colours and gives him the ability so that he can mould himself to proceed further in his life as per the circumstances for prosperity.

In today’s time, education earned through books is not considered enough as today’s fast pacing world demands individuals to be equipped not only with theoretical copy book excellence but also calibration grilled with human humane abilities.

In earlier times, the purpose of education was only to develop mere basic educational knowledge and make students capable of handling simple and general issues of life through knowledge among the students to help them know about the overview of life, but in today’s world time has changed and life has become exquisitely complex and world demands individuals blessed with an all round calibration to shower success.

Now a days schools should be continuously and comprehensively active towards giving their valuable contribution in this direction to make students capable not only educationally but also capable to handle life with sensible and reliable approach.

In this context, it is advisable to put stress on various extra- curricular activities to introduce a new structure in education which will be prolific to not only produce students but human beings who will be real assets for the nation.

The concept of Human Library is one such concept to help students to directly come in contact with those prominent persons who are the real role models so that the essence of life can be learned under one roof within minimum time and limited guidance. In this, students will have the opportunity of speak directly with those excellent talents of the country and world who have excelled after lot of hard work will share their lively examples with students to motivate them.
