Dipsites Ankit Kumar and Suminder Kaur Won the 2nd Position In The 1st Korea-Indian Friendship Painting Competition 2017
Dipsites Ankit Kumar of class-X and Suminder Kaur of class XI won the second prize in the 1st Korea-Indian Friendship Painting Competition 2017 of PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games Painting Competition organized by Korean Cultural Center India, Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
The students were asked to paint on the themes South Korea Olympic Winter Game, Mountains, Snow, Snow in Hometown and Soohorang, a White Tiger which is the games mascot.
The competition was divided into two groups namely Junior Group and Senior Group. Junior Group consisted of students from classes’ I-VII and Senior Group consisted of students classes VIII-XII.
Competing with 22,022 students of 295 schools of the country Ankit Kumar and Suminder Kaur won the second prize and were awarded with a free trip to Republic of Korea popularly known as South Korea from 9th to 25th February 2018 and a Scholarship of 75000/-.
On this achievement the school, the Principal and the Coordinator will also be awarded with a school appreciation trophy and a certificate, a certification by Embassy of the Republic of Korea, an Educative International Exposure for students and Enhancement of learning abilities of students.
Dr. Ram Singh the Principal of the school appreciated and congratulated Ankit Kumar and Suminder Kaur on their achievement and shared that they have always been highly creative and have won several national awards. He said that this competition has not only given Ankit and Suminder a chance to know and understand the Korean, its culture and heritage but has also given the school to contribute in the Korea-Indian Friendship. He also wished them luck for their bright future in the days to come.
Ankit and Suminder thanked Principal Dr. Ram Singh and their mentors for their guidance and support who have helped to hone their skills and they gave full credit to the school for their achievement.
22 Students of DPS Ranchi Awarded 0.1% Certificate
22 students of Delhi Public School Ranchi were awarded 0.1% certificate of Merit in AISSCE-2017.
The Board Awards certificate of merit in each subject to the top 0.1% of successful candidates in order to recognize their qualities and outstanding performance at its Senior School Certificate Examination.
The Criteria for awarding 0.1% certificate for 2017 Examination is as follows:-
- At least 500 candidates have passed in a particular subject.
- The candidate has passed the examination as per the pass criteria of the Board.
- In the matter of tie, if one candidate gets a Merit Certificate, all the candidates getting the same score are awarded Certificates of Merit.

Muskan Khowal of Delhi Public School, Ranchi has received an invitation to witness the Republic Day parade on January 26, 2018. The invitation has come from the honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
This invitation is given to 100 talented students selected by the Government of India from the entire nation and it’s a matter of immense pride that one of our dipsites has been invited on this glorious occasion.
She will also be awarded for her excellent academic performance in her AISSCE-2017 examination.
On this occasion, the school's principal Dr. Ram Singh congratulated Muskan and said that it is a matter of pride for the school that she will get a chance to sit with the Prime Minister. It is because of her excellent performance, that Muskan has got this opportunity. While sharing this news with the children he said encouraged them to follow the footsteps of Muskan.
Ranked 1st among the Top Schools in Ranchi
It is indeed a matter of great pride that DPS, Ranchi has been ranked as the 1st best school in the list of Top 13 Schools in Ranchi as per the survey done by the DL digital learning and elets . Moreover, it is also ranked 3rd in the list of Top 14 online presence schools in Ranchi in the same survey.
On this achievement Dr. Ram Singh, the Principal said that it is an honor for the school that it has been ranked 1st in the Top 13 schools and 3rd in the Top 14 online presence schools of Ranchi. He also thanked and congratulated the students and staffs for their contribution and hard work to win this award.
Ritika, of Delhi Public School, Ranchi Tops in JCECE Medical Stream
Showcasing her academic excellence Ritika of Delhi Public School, Ranchi has Topped in Jharkhand Combine Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECE) in the Medical Stream. Along with it she has also cleared NEET with rank 241 in All India Category and 187 rank in 15% quota. In JIPMER her rank is 174. She intends to join "BHU" although she is also getting an opportunity to get admitted in Lady Hardinge Medical Collage, Delhi University.
The Principal of DPS Ranchi Dr. Ram Singh congratulated Ritika and said that it is indeed a proud moment for him as well as the school. He also wished her good luck for her bright future.
On the other hand the parents of Ritika said that they are proud to be the parents of such a bright child. They also thanked the principal and the institution for their guidance and help.
