10 Students of DPS Ranchi Excelled in KVPY Final Round 2018-19
In the series of continuous success stories, 10 students of DPS Ranchi evoked a feeling of pride by qualifying in the final round of KVPY 2018-19. Adarsh Raj, Akshat Kumar, Ankit Kumar Jain, Rayyan Sahid, Spandan Mitra, Dayal Kumar, Aakriti Parashar, Sarthak Raj, Anima and Abhijeet Singh are the 10 brilliant students who have made the school proud with their exemplary performance. It is noteworthy that Adarsh Raj has secured 73rd rank in this prestigious examination.
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is one such National Scholarship programme of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India that aims to encourage the exceptional students for pursuing courses in Basic Sciences and research drive programmes.
The basic objective of this programme is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research, help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
We are delighted to acknowledge that in comparison to last year, the number of qualifying candidates has increased from 6 to 10 which itself says a lot about the school’s accomplishment. Previously, 17 students had set a history by clearing the first round of this reputed exam, out of which these 10 talented students have proven their mettle in the final round.
Our honourable Principal Dr. Ram Singh congratulated the students and said that it’s a matter of great pride for the school to beat its own record with every passing year, the number of students qualifying in various competitive exams is incessantly increasing. He wishes that other students also get motivated to develop the same scientific fervor and temperament to carry forward the legacy.

DPS Ranchi Tops the List Again: State Topper and other 8 withinTop 10 in NTSE 2018-19
DPS Ranchi once again emerged victorious in the Stage-I of prestigious NTSE 2018. We are immensely proud and elated to announce that Mrinal J. Anand scored 183 out of 200 and topped the chart by being the State Topper. It is noteworthy, that 10 students i.e; Mrinal J. Anand (1st), Aryan Gupta (3rd), Devesh (5th), Sanjeev Mallick (5th), Ravish M Savyasachi (7th), Aryan Bhattacharya (8th), Rahul Kumar (9th), Om Shubham Pati (9th) and Snehal Mishra (10th) are among the Top 10 rank holders of the state. Vaishnavi on (12th)) Pratyush Thakur (14th), Akash raj (category rank 2nd) and Koyal Hembram (category rank 16th) are also worth a mention for being in the list of rank holders and the counting is still in process.
NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is a prestigious National Level Examination conducted by NCERT. It provides the scholarship to the qualifying and deserving candidates. The examination is organised every year at two levels: Stage-I (State Level) and Stage-II (National Level). The Stage-I examination happened on 3rd and 4th November, 2018. Every year around 1,20,000 to 1,40,000 students appear for the examination, while only 5000 students are selected for Stage-II. Out of these 5000 students, only 1000 students are selected all over India for the scholarship.
Our honourable Principal, Dr. Ram Singh was overjoyed by such a huge success. He said the school is very keen towards tracing the talent and channelizing their potential in the right direction. He congratulated the successful candidates and hoped to inculcate the same dedication in the years to come. Dr. Ram Singh has always taken initiatives to provide Enhancement classes to these distinctive children. He expressed his happiness that the hard work has paid off through such a marvelous result.

DPS Ranchi Produces State Topper in JEE Mains
Ankit Jain of Delhi Public School Ranchi becomes State topper (Jharkhand) in JEE MAINS 2019 bringing name and fame not only for himself but also for the school and city.
National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the result of JEE Main 2019 Paper-1 on January 19 in online mode. The announced result is for the first JEE Main 2019 which was conducted by NTA between January 8 to 12 in two shifts per day across 258 cities in the country and abroad. A total number of 9, 29,198 candidates were registered for Paper –I (B.E. /B. Tech.). The authorities have released the list of candidates who have topped the chart. The hard work, dedicated efforts and determination to turn each and every rolling stone into a milestone have made these candidates into JEE Main toppers 2019. Leaving behind lakhs of aspirants, these JEE Main 2019 toppers have set a benchmark for them as well as for others to follow. The fact to rejoice for all of these toppers of JEE Main 2019 is that their efforts have given fruitful results and the ball is in their court as to decide whether to go for admissions to NITs, IIITs & GFTIs or appear in the next level exam of JEE Advanced.

DPS RANCHI Tops the Chart in Inter - DPS SMT Examination – 2018
After a remarkable performance in RMO, DPS Ranchi once again proved itself to be the front runner and the best in Jharkhand by a thumping majority of 24 students of Class IX who qualified the first round of SMTE, 2018.
It is noteworthy that 4 out of 24 candidates namely: Aryan Jha , Piyush, Priyanshu Kumar and Anany Mishra have made their place in top 100 students among all the DPS Schools of India.
